Lynda Banducci (call name, Lyndy)

Earth Dog Instructor

I have been actively involved and have owned Jack Russell Terriers for 30 years. Further experience includes breeding several litters of JRT's, showing them in Conformation Classes, training them for Go To Ground, Earth Dog and hunting with them for over 20 years. Currently four JRT's live with me and I have recently purchased a male Russell Terrier, whose parents were imported from Australia. Most of the dogs started their show record at 4 months of age in Conformation classes throughout the West Coast and Canada. We helped promote the breed and explained the breed standard to the public and also helped educate and promote responsible breeding and explained the differences between the Russell Terriers and the Jack Russell Terriers.

Currently I have membership in the JRTCA (Jack Russell Terrier Club of America), AWTA (American Working Terrier Association) and the Tri State JRTC Club of WA, ID & OR. I have held a Board position in the JRTNNC (Northern CA Jack Russell Terrier Club) and the CGJRTC (CA Gold Jack Russell Terrier Club) until their closing. I have promoted play days and have been Chairman of a JRT trial and presently organize and hold play days at my home. I have bred 4 generations of Jack Russell Terriers over the past 17 years. Just getting started with the Russell Terrier.

Several of my JRT's have attained many Championships in various venues including Conformation, Go To Ground, Racing, Barn Hunt and Earth Dog. I have participated in JRT Rescue by helping to relocate dogs that have come into rescue and have placed dogs in their new homes.

I prefer performance events such as Earth Dog, AWTA, Racing or Weight Pull and local or regional events where necessary help is needed. Love to show my dogs and educate folks on the differences in the breeds.

During the tenure of the JRTNNC, I was active in Research and helped collect cheek swabs for the University of Davis and did the grunt work for collecting the blood samples for shipment to University of Missouri for DNA separation. I have also organized CERF (eye) and BAER (hearing) clinics. In updating my education, I participated in seminars including Tom Lams, Pat Hastings, Carmen Bettagllia, Anita Obermeyer and currently attending classes with local instructors in Obedience and Weight Pulling and now instructing Earth Dog/Go To Ground.
