We are Angela, Peter, and baby Madeline, and we have an Australian Shepherd mix named Bess who is about 2 years old. We have only been coming to Performance Dogs in Action for about a month now, but our experience has been extremely positive. We adopted Bess from Animal Control, and she was in desperate need of a family. When we adopted her, she had parvo, kennel cough, and a fungus on her face, but her kind and pleasing disposition shined through. After two weeks of extensive veterinary care, she revealed herself to be not only kind and loving, but excitable and headstrong. She was very intelligent and knew exactly what consequences she was willing to endure to get her way.
After six months of working with Bess, we found Performance Dogs in Action and decided to get professional help. Our whole family attends, including our five-month-old daughter, who loves to watch the dogs on the agility course. In the four weeks we have attended Sharon’s obedience class, our dog has made leaps and strides. She knows the basic commands and walks without pulling us through the neighborhood! The trainers are friendly to the people and absolutely adore dogs. The drop-in class style works great for us since our baby isn’t always in the mood for training Bess. We are looking forward to watching Bess progress through obedience and one day start agility training with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainers at Performance Dogs in Action.
